Just like our Rep teams, Select teams:
To further player development, Select players also participate in House League, playing 2 extra games per week in addition to their Select team responsibilities.
This extra playing time is part of how Select players get more development opportunities and also allows them to bring what they learn to help elevate their house league peers in turn.
While house league games are played on weeknights, Select League games typically are played on weekends.
Select teams are typically made up of 2 age groups; The 9U Select team is made up of 8U and 9U players, the 11U Select team is made up of 10U and 11U
9U players will still use the pitching machine for House League, but will use the pitching wheel for Select.
11U will be using pitchers and pitch counting for all ages according to the OBA Select Loop rules.
