13U National championship Tournament app - privacy policy

This policy explains what the 13U National Championship mobile app collects, why, and what choices you have. It covers the mobile app published by Woodstock Minor Ball.

Summary

The app does not collect personal information. There are no user accounts and no sign-in. You can browse schedules, scores, standings, teams, rosters, news, venues and travel information without giving us your name, your email address, or anything else that identifies you. We do not collect your location, we do not show ads, we use no advertising identifiers, and we do not sell or share information for advertising.

What we collect

Notification token — collected only if you allow notifications. This is an identifier issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging that lets us deliver championship news alerts to your device. It identifies a device, not a person.

In-app activity — collected while you use the app. This records which news articles and sections you open and which sponsor items are displayed, so we can report general interest to championship organisers and sponsors and improve the app. It is not tied to any account, because the app has none.

What we do not collect

  • Names, email addresses or passwords. The app has no sign-in or registration, so none are collected.
  • Location. The app does not request or receive location permission and does not track where you are.
  • Payment information. Nothing is sold in the app and no payment or card details are collected.
  • Contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera. None are accessed.
  • Advertising identifiers. The app contains no advertising software and performs no cross-app tracking.

Who we share it with

We do not sell information and we do not share it for advertising. The limited data described above is handled by service providers who process it on our behalf:

  • Google Cloud Platform — hosts the app's servers and database.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

How it is protected

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Championship information cached on your device — schedules, teams and news — is stored in the app's private storage and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Children's privacy

This app is about a youth baseball championship, but it is intended for parents, guardians, fans, coaches and organisers rather than for children. It is not directed to children under 13. Because the app has no accounts and collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from anyone else.

Player information shown in the app — names, teams and rosters — is published by the participating provincial associations and Baseball Canada as part of the championship record. It is not collected from app users.

Your choices

  • Notifications. You can decline the notification permission when asked, or turn notifications off at any time in your device settings. The app works fully without them. Declining means no notification token is registered.
  • Uninstalling. Removing the app deletes the information cached on your device and stops any further notification delivery.
  • Questions or requests. Because we hold no account and no identifying information, there is normally nothing personal to retrieve or delete. If you have a question about the data described here, contact us below.

Retention

Notification tokens are retained while they remain valid and are discarded when a device unregisters or the token expires. In-app activity records are retained in aggregate for championship and sponsor reporting.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, notify users in the app. If user accounts are introduced in a future version of the app, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
